M'Goun massif is located in the central part of the High Atlas. On the administrative point of view it belongs to the province of Ouarzazate. It culminates at 4068 m altitude. The Ighil M'Goun is a popular destination for trekkers even if it does not have the same prestige as the Toubkal.
